The complex character of the 2017 S-Class Cabriolet is showcased in partnership with Palmaz Vineyards out in Napa Valley, California. The aim was to show how Palmaz and the S-Class blend craftsmanship honed over the decades with innovative technology, to emerge as pinnacles in their respective industries.

Why Palmaz was a good fit?

Growing grapes and making wine is the textbook definition of an evolving process. Just like the iconic flagship S-Class Cabriolet, Palmaz Vineyards takes a clinical approach to craftsmanship and state-of-the-art technology behind each glass.

We love the art, craftsmanship and technology behind each glass and we had a glass and car that honors all three to the highest degree.

At the heart of the winery sits the fermentation dome, lined with 24 fermentation tanks that can accommodate grapes from individual vineyards across the estate. The sophisticated monitoring systems for each tank allow winery team members to project a broad range of data (including thermal imaging) onto the ceiling of the dome.

The S-Class Cabriolet

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet (and Coupe) are the highest expressions of the Mercedes-Benz brand with their engineered pillarless coupe design and the ultimate combination of premium luxury, comfort and intelligence.

The vehicle includes new and considerably top-in-its-class extended driver assistance systems, the modern control and display concept with a Widescreen Cockpit, first of its kind at the time (as with Palmaz Vineyard’s ‘cockpit’ controls) and the new generation of steering wheels.
