Walgreens Wellcast

During the initial stages of Covid, the first phase in our partnership alongside the Walgreens team was to relaunch their customer loyalty program: MyWalgreens. Envisioned as a reason to stay involved with consumers, the platform is an ultra-personalized experience that reacts to the community and environmental triggers around them. The program launched with a striking visual design system that seamlessly blends form and function into their existing interface.

Phase 1
Community Alerts

During the initial stages of Covid, the first phase in our partnership alongside the Walgreens team was to relaunch their customer loyalty program: MyWalgreens. Envisioned as a reason to stay involved with consumers, the platform is an ultra-personalized experience that reacts to the community and environmental triggers around them. The program launched with a striking visual design system that seamlessly blends form and function into their existing interface.

The product was designed to keep people informed and proactive about their health. The intuitive application offers geo-fenced health alerts to keep you updated on rising cases of Covid, flu, strep, and other illnesses in your area. When a significant spike in cases is detected, users receive timely notifications along with actionable recommendations.

Phase 2
Vaccine Scheduler

During the next phase, as vaccines became more widely available to the public, Walgreens emerged as the leading provider, administering over 50 million doses. We prioritized streamlining the user experience, enabling individuals to easily locate their nearest Walgreens and book appointments, enabling the user to easily track and book vaccinations, teledoc appointments, and accessing relevant health products. The seamless integration of alerts and actions empowers users to take immediate steps to safeguard their well-being, all from a single, user-friendly interface.

In addition to enhancing the scheduling system within the Walgreens app, we partnered with Uber to simplify access. A one-click feature integrated into the platform directed users seamlessly to our scheduling system, improving convenience and driving increased vaccination appointments.

Phase 3
At-Home Wellness

During a time when public spaces were less accessible, we also focused on supporting people’s well-being at home. We launched Walgreens Wellcast, an in-app program offering virtual workouts, guided meditations, and podcasts. Users were encouraged to stay active by maintaining activity streaks, which earned them Walgreens dollars as a reward for their consistency and commitment to personal wellness.
